HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Start Over Rover hosted Barktoberfest at the Hastings Eagles Club on Friday.

The event supports Start Over Rover animal shelter in Hastings. The no-kill shelter relies on funds raised for its daily operations and processing.

Organizers said Barktoberfest is their biggest annual event, and that the funds are vital for the shelter and the entire Hastings community.

“We constantly get calls for animals in need of a home whether it be people having to move, abandoned animals or they are abused,” said Kelly Zubrod director of Start Over Rover. “We get calls all the time to take in animals. We’re always operating at capacity so we’re always full.”
