WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest University will rename South Residence Hall to Hopkins Residence Hall on Saturday to honor alumni Larry and Beth Hopkins, whose decades of leadership and service left a lasting mark on the university and the Winston-Salem community , the university said.

The renaming ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at South Hall as part of Wake Forest’s homecoming weekend. The event will include performances by the Wake Forest Gospel Choir, remarks from President Susan R. Wente, the Hopkins family, building tours, and a livestream for those unable to attend in person.
