IOWA (KCAU) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is committing an additional $5 million towards child care in the state.

Iowa's Department of Education said the funds will help further expand child care and preschool program partnerships. That would be through a second round of continuum of care grants.

Those care grants are set to begin during the fall 2026-27 school year.
