EAGLE PASS, Texas — Several individuals have been airlifted from U.S. Highway 277 East in Eagle Pass after police say they were ejected from their vehicles following a major crash.
On Friday afternoon, the Eagle Pass Police Department, along with a large emergency response team, were on the scene of a major accident that involved several people being ejected from their vehicles.
Police said the crash caused traffic to be heavily backed up as helicopters flew in to airlift victims for advanced treatment.
Authorities say the exact number of victims and their conditions are unknown at this time and are urging motorist to avoid the area and expect major delays at this time.
