MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Martinsburg scored in each quarter and controlled play in all three phases of the game in a 42-0 win over Spring Mills. The contest was a rematch of the first Class AAAA state championship game, won by the Bulldogs, 17-10.
MHS (7-2) had five different players score touchdowns as the Bulldogs collected their seventh consecutive victory.
“Our guys played really well on both sides of the ball. I was pleased with the team performance,” said Martinsburg head coach Dave Walker.
Boston Todd opened the scoring for the Bulldogs less than three minutes into the game on a 7-yard touchdown tote. Kingston McDonald-Gibson doubled the Martinsburg advantage later in the opening frame with a 30-yard touchdown run.
