For the first time, the Government of India deployed Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based weather models instead of traditional supercomputer systems to predict the 2025 monsoon.

These AI models provided timely and precise forecasts to over 3.8 lakh farmers, helping them plan sowing and crop selection more efficiently.

Farmers reported that these forecasts influenced their agricultural decisions, reducing risks and improving outcomes.
