EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - A Montpelier high school teacher has been charged with allegedly giving weed to a student.

Police investigated and say they found 56-year-old John Boyd, a teacher at U-32, gave marijuana to an underage student on school grounds.
Boyd turned himself in on Friday and was released with a citation.
He’s due in court on November 6th, facing charges of dispensing drugs to a minor on school grounds, contributing to juvenile delinquency, and recklessly endangering a person.
