CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) -Approximately 100 high school pole vaulters from around the country will compete at the Cape Girardeau Sportsplex this weekend. Including a strong list of Heartland athletes.

The ESSX Pole Vault Showcase will take place Saturday from 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. The event will continue on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

College coaches from around the nation will also be on hand to scout the pole vaulters.

Former Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Moon will be one of the special guests attending the event.

The ESSX Pole Vault Showcase is free to the public.
