SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Dexter left no doubt that they’re the team to beat in Class 3 District 1.

The Bearcats put on a dominant display of rushing, beating Scott City 35-3.

Friday’s game started with Dexter going ahead in the first quarter, courtesy of a Jason Hervoyavich touchdown run. Fellow senior Devin Turnbo doubled Dexter’s lead in the second, breaking free and running clear of the Rams defense to make it 14-0 Bearcats.

Scott City had some sparks, a few long drives in the first half, a great kickoff return from Adam Swinford, and an interception caught by Jackson Gloth. But the Rams only mustered a Hayden Held field goal just before the half.

After the break, Dexter’s rushing attack helped the Bearcats pull away. The short gains gradually became longer as the Bearcats wore out
