A woman who sold her iPhone on Facebook Marketplace was scammed out of £400, before the buyer threatened that he 'knew where she lived' and would make her life 'a living hell'.
The terrifying ordeal saw Danielle Pickett, from Oldham , be greeted at her door by a man on an e-scooter to collect the phone, despite chatting to who she thought was a woman on the social media site, and being shown what appeared to be a legitimate confirmation of the funds being sent to her.
But after a day of waiting and no money being transferred into her account, Danielle raised concerns with the buyer about it instead being a scam. She was assured it '100% wasn't', with them vowing to return to her house the following morning to 'sort it as soon as possible'.
