A woman who sold her iPhone on Facebook Marketplace was conned out of £400, before the buyer ominously warned that he 'knew where she lived' and would turn her life into 'a living hell'.
Danielle Pickett, from Oldham, experienced a horrifying ordeal when a man on an e-scooter arrived at her door to collect the phone. This was despite her having conversed with someone she believed to be a woman on the social media site, and being shown what seemed to be a legitimate confirmation of the funds being transferred to her.
However, after a day of waiting with no money appearing in her account, Danielle voiced her concerns to the buyer about the possibility of it being a scam.
