Quarterback Jensen Ferber and the West York football exploded in a four-score second quarter and rolled Dover 50-7 Friday night in YAIAA Division II action.
Ferber threw five touchdown passes – four in the pivotal second quarter – and was 10-for-15 for 255 yards in the win that capped a 9-1 regular season for the Bulldogs.
Ferber’s favorite targets were Julius Madden and Conrad Beatty. Madden had a monster night, catching four passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to a 90-yard kickoff return for a TD in the fourth quarter.
Beatty (3-64) scored consecutive TDs on Ferber passes (1, 55 yards).
West York led 35-0 at halftime and grew the lead when Ferber connected with Jamen Garnett on a 14-yard TD reception.
