India won the Asia Cup on September 28, 2025, but more than a month later, the winners are still waiting for their prize. The latest reports indicate that the trophy was taken by ACC president and PCB head Mohsin Naqvi from the ACC headquarters to a secret place in Abu Dhabi.

A BCCI official who recently met at the ACC office in Dubai was apparently told by employees that the trophy is now in the personal possession of Naqvi. The recent turn of events provides a new twist to what has become an unusually dramatic and long-drawn-out trophy handover saga.

“A BCCI official visited ACC headquarters a few days back. When he inquired about the trophy in the ACC office, the staff told him that it has been removed from here and is in the custody of Moshin Naqvi in some place in Abu Dhabi.” An ANI
