HUNTINGTON -- After a 15-20 season, Juli Fulks didn't sit still.
The Marshall University women's basketball coach said a losing record in her first season with the Thundering Herd prompted her to examine every aspect of the program, including herself.
"There's been a constant self-assessment," Fulks said. "How do we get better? How do we get better at recruiting? How do I get better? What are the adjustments I need to make?"
Fulks said she's not timid about looking internally. She said was pleased Marshall won seven of its last nine games, including four of five in the Sun Belt Conference tournament, but that's not the goal.
