SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) - The Summerville Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Azalea Square Shopping Center early Saturday morning.

Summerville Police Lt. Drayton said a group of teenagers and adults were in the parking lot near World Market when one of the suspects fired a gun.

Witnesses said the suspect left the scene before he was later caught by police. The victim was reported to have been shot in the leg.

There is currently no word on the identity of the suspect. The Summerville Police Department is continuing to investigate.
