Nagpur : A major mishap was averted on Friday evening when an Air India flight from Nagpur to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after take-off due to a suspected bird strike.
According to airport officials, flight AI-466 took off from Nagpur Airport at around 6:38 pm. Moments after take-off, the pilot detected unusual vibrations in one of the engines and suspected that a bird had hit the aircraft. Acting promptly, the pilot decided to return to Nagpur and informed Air Traffic Control (ATC).
