ACB catches Rathod Bikku in bribery sting over cooperative bank complaint

DCO accused of demanding Rs. 7 lakh to withdraw complaint and release salaries

The District Cooperative Officer (DCO) of Mancherial, Rathod Bikku , was arrested on Saturday by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh. The bribe was paid by an employee of a cooperative bank to influence withdrawal of a complaint lodged against the official.

According to ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu, Bikku was caught red-handed during the transaction. The employee had accused the DCO of harassment, as he was seeking to withdraw a complaint, release salaries during suspension, and avoid action based on an inquiry report
