MONROE COUNTY, Ind. - A fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver closed I-69 in Monroe County Saturday morning.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the crash happened around 6 a.m. at the 125 mile-marker near the East Sample Road exit just. This is just north of Bloomington.
The INDOT alert stated it was a head-on collision and involved a wrong-way driver. Indiana State Police confirmed at least one person died in the crash.
A FOX59/CBS4 news vehicle spotted at least two vehicles involved in the northbound lanes and one was found on it's roof burnt to a crisp.
Indiana State Police advised those attending the UCLA vs. Indiana football game are expected to experience traffic stoppages and delays.
