An off-duty Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was involved in a crash in Center Point is facing charges, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Shamonte D. Lanfair, 34, is charged with two counts of first-degree assault.
Three people, including Lanfair, were injured in the crash earlier this month on Alabama 75. ALEA said she was driving her patrol unit when she hit another car.
Lanfair was placed in the Jefferson County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
