The Louisiana Book Festival is celebrating 100 years of the State Library of Louisiana with 236 featured participants, including authors, moderators, programs and activities. This year marks the 21st annual book festival, and the literary fun will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 in downtown Baton Rouge in and around the State Library on Fourth Street.
Led by Jim Davis since its inception, the book festival has a new director at the helm, Robert Wilson, director of Louisiana Center of the Book. Wilson has worked diligently at the festival since it began with Davis.
Louisiana Center for the Book is one of 56 affiliates of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. The Louisiana Center for the Book plans and promotes the Louisiana Book Festival and its programs.
