TOWN OF GRATIOT, Wis. (WMTV) - Multiple people were hurt after a crash on private property in the Town of Gratiot.
The crash was reported just after 9 p.m. Friday on private property in Gratiot, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
When first responders arrived on scene, UW Medflight was requested, and the Wisconsin DNR took over the investigation of the crash.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office said alcohol and careless operation appear to be factors in the crash.
A 2022 Polaris UTV was overturned, and authorities said the 57-year-old operator from Gratiot was taken to a hospital via ambulance.
The passenger, a 60-year-old from Lawrence, KS was taken to a hospital in Madison via Medflight with life threatening injuries.
