LEWISTOWN, Mo. -- Clark County junior Reid Sammons was a thorn in Highland's side when the two Clarence Cannon Conference rivals met up on Thursday evening.

Sammons caught seven passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns, while also carrying the ball four times for 66 yards and two more scores to help the Indians defeat Highland 54-16.

"(Sammons) is a great football player," said Indians head coach Ethan Allen. "He played really good tonight. Bennett (Plenge) gave him some opportunities to make plays, which was exciting. We know what he's capable of."

Sammons scored four of his touchdowns in the first half, on a 31-yard run, 56-yard catch, 19-yard catch and 14-yard catch. He later scored on a 12-yard run in the third quarter.
