Coming off a huge win over Texas Tech, Arizona State (5-2, 3-1 Big 12) looks to keep things rolling against a surprise 6-1 team, the Houston Cougars (6-1, 3-1 Big 12).

Houston hasn't faced a major test to this point, but it has taken care of business against lower-tier conference opponents Colorado, Oklahoma State and Arizona. Now, it draws the defending conference champions, who reinserted themselves into the race with the big win over the Red Raiders on Saturday.

Houston has been a surprising team this season, and it's a testament to Willie Fritz's program-building abilities. However, in their one big test, the Cougars fell big against Texas Tech. Unfortunately, they could be in for a similar result this time around.

Houston has been strong defensively, particularly against the run, but its offense is currently lagging behind. Arizona State is built similarly, though the Sun Devils run the ball pretty effectively with Raleek Brown.

If Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson can open things up in the passing game, Arizona State could win big. Still, most of its games have been close, and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable laying seven points here.
