BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews responded to a fire in Bridgeport early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the area of Helen Street after a report of a structure fire, officials said.

When crews arrived, they found a heavy fire coming from the second floor of a multi-family home.

One person was injured and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
