Srinagar, Oct 25: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para has described his party’s support for the National Conference (NC) candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections as a “difficult decision,” taken in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking exclusively with Kashmir Convener, Para emphasized that the PDP owes no debt to the NC. “We don’t owe the NC anything. However, we believed that for the larger interest, this was a moment to vote for unity,” he stated. “We have done our part by voting in favour of the National Conference candidate, despite that party’s traditional opposition to us.”
