BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football linebacker Aiden Fisher has exited the game with an apparent injury after coming up with an early pick-six against UCLA on Saturday.
Fisher, who was replaced in the lineup by Isaiah Jones, played one series wearing a left-knee brace. He remained on the sideline with his teammates, but didn't have his helmet with him.
The pre-season All-American came into the game with 48 tackles (20 solo), 6.5 for a loss and 2.5 sacks. His pick-six off Nico Iamaleava's first pass attempt was Fisher's first career touchdown. The middle linebacker has been a longtime starter for coach Curt Cignetti and defensive coordinator Bryant Haines after following them to Bloomington from JMU.
