Federal authorities on Friday unsealed a 41-count indictment charging 33 alleged members of the Weymouth Street Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) with distributing fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine in Philadelphia, among other offenses.
The group allegedly operated on one of the Philadelphia ’s “most prolific drug blocks” in Kensington, with activity spilling onto nearby streets, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Authorities arrested 24 of the indicted in coordinated operations on Friday, with eight already in custody, and one at large.
