Americans love a good Halloween display, and are expected to spend $4.2 billion on decorations this year on inflatables, plastic skeletons, fake pumpkins and more, according to the National Retail Federation. That’s a $1.6 billion increase since 2019, the retail group reports.
Per-person spending this year is expected to reach $114.45, nearly $11 more than last year, though this includes all categories of Halloween spending including candy, costumes and decorations. The top 2025 search term for outdoor Halloween decor, according to Google? The 12-foot skeleton that sells for up to $300 at a big box retailer near you.
