BREWER, Maine (WABI) - Saturday marked the fourth annual 5K for Heating Oil, hosted by Triumph Professional Cleaning Services in Brewer.

“Back four years ago, I had an employee that was a veteran, and we were looking at a way to do something in the community and give back, and he suggested doing something for veterans,” explains Ben Dunkle, owner of Triumph Cleaning, of the race’s beginnings. “So I was able to connect with Doc Goodwin from the Maine Veterans Project .”

For Goodwin, hosting a 5K was always a goal for the local veterans’ nonprofit and community support made it possible.
