Kim Kardashian has revealed she was diagnosed with a small aneurysm in her brain, announcing the news during Thursday’s season premiere of “The Kardashians.”
“There’s, like, a little aneurysm,” Kardashian says in the episode, as footage shows her entering an imaging scan.
“Woah,” her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker responds.
An aneurysm occurs when an artery wall weakens and balloons outward due to blood flow pressure. While aneurysms can form anywhere in the body, they most often appear in the aorta — the body’s largest blood vessel, which carries blood from the heart.
A rupture can cause life-threatening bleeding or death, but not all aneurysms burst or lead to complications.
Aneurysms are fairly common, according to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. An estimated 6.8 million people
