LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Lorain County left one woman dead and a man seriously injured, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Elyria Post responded to the scene at 6:41 a.m. on Foster Road in Penfield Township. Investigators say a black 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Foster Road and failed to yield at a stop sign for State Route 18. The pickup entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound gray 2025 Honda HR-V.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries and was flown to Metro Health Hospital by Metro Life Flight. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
