GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) — A stray dog that has made its home in Glasgow’s Beaver Creek Park continues to elude capture despite months of coordinated efforts by local officials.

Glasgow-Barren County Animal Control said multiple attempts have been made to safely secure the animal, with help from Glasgow Parks and Recreation staff and law enforcement officers. But so far, the dog has managed to stay out of reach.

Officials describe the canine as extremely timid, making it difficult to approach, especially in the heavily wooded area that surrounds much of the park.

“Despite our best efforts, the canine has remained elusive,” Animal Control said in a public notice.
