LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Waterfront Park was buzzing Saturday morning as brain aneurysm patients and supporters geared up for the annual Brain Aneurysm Foundation (BAF) fundraiser run and walk.
The BAF reports that 1 in 50 people will have an unruptured brain aneurysm, with over 30,000 Americans suffering from a brain aneurysm rupture, leaving two-thirds of survivors with lifelong neurological damage.
In hopes of raising awareness on signs and symptoms, and to bring attention to this tragic diagnosis to the BAF holds walks around the country to bring awareness to brain aneurysms and fundraise for research and treatment.
BAF Louisville Run/Walk kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday, with hundreds of participants helping to meet the $20,000 goal. Fundraising was not required, but those who raised $100
