GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — A case of Bird Flu was confirmed at a commercial poultry operation in Gordon County, according to officials with the USDA and Georgia Department of Agriculture.

The USDA's Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed the case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, marking the fifth overall detection in the state this year. It is the third confirmed case at a commercial operation.
