MACON, Ga. — Mostly clear tonight with lows in the low 60s.

The quiet and mostly dry weather stretch continues for the first half of the work week, with Wednesday expected to be the warmest day of the week, with highs in the low 90s and feels-like temperatures a few degrees above that.

By Thursday, we begin to see signs of a front beginning to push into Georgia. The second half of Thursday into Friday could be quite dreary. Rain will come in the form of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms, as this front will be running into our warm and slightly humid air mass that has been in place for some time. Some storms could be strong to severe, as we are included in a Level 1 out of 5 risk on the Storm Prediction Center's outlook for Thursday.
