A missing woman may have travelled over 120-miles away from her Ayr home after vanishing "completely out of character". ‌

Dorothy Summers has been reported missing after disappearing from her home in Whitletts, Ayr, at around 9am on Thursday October 23. ‌

The 62-year-old mainly uses buses to travel locally in Ayrshire, however, she has travelled to Dundee previously. ‌

She has been described as white, 5ft 1ins tall, of medium build and with long, curly brown and grey hair.

Inspector Lorraine Scobie said: "It is completely out of character for Dorothy to be away from home and not keep in regular contact with her family. They are extremely concerned and we want to trace her as soon as possible to ensure that she is safe and well.
