WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A trip into the woods. It’s a staple of spooky season. But at Faith Horseback Riding Center Saturday morning, the focus wasn’t on frights.
“We do a haunted forest every year and we try to include kiddos too during the day,” said event organizer Jessica Sheldon. “They get to trick or treat around our whole event with all of the jumpscares and everything turned off.”
Sheldon explained that the event was intentionally sensory-friendly so it could be enjoyed by everyone. Instead of scares, kids made masks, played games like a ring toss, and ran across the occasional friendly feline.
