Sunny fall weather brought costumed families, including several newcomers, out in droves for the annual Longmont Halloween Parade.

On Saturday morning, Longmont’s Main Street ditched cars and welcomed pedestrians who had transformed into superheroes, animals and pop stars. Costumes of pop stars from one particular animated movie, “KPop Demon Hunters,” were easy to spot, as many characters from the film have colorful hair and stylish jackets.

The film’s main character, Rumi, inspired many young participants to embody her by wearing purple, braided wigs. One of them was Sloane, 6, who also drew symbols on her costume to match Rumi’s “patterns” in the movie.
