Tom Aspinall will face Ciryl Gane in the octagon in his first attempt to defend his undisputed UFC heavyweight title.

The Manchester-born fighter is headlining UFC 321 tonight - his first main event in an numbered event for the MMA promotion - and takes on the stern test of the elusive Frenchman at the Etihad Arena In Abu Dhabi.

It's the first fight in 15 months for the Briton who last clashed against Curtis Blaydes and knocked him out in the first round to defend his then-interim title. The spectacular finish against the American looked to have set up a super-fight between himself and then-champion Jon Jones but the MMA icon declined the opportunity and hung up his gloves .
