Atlanta — Syracuse quarterback Rickie Collins didn’t lose the game against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

In the fourth consecutive loss for the Orange since a season-ending injury to starting quarterback Steve Angeli, Syracuse took the ball away from its turnover-prone quarterback and showed that its problems start at quarterback but run deeper than an ineffective signal-caller.

The Orange failed to score on its first drive of the game after having 1st-and-goal at the 1-yard line, moving backwards on a pair of penalties and burning a timeout in the process.

Syracuse failed to convert a 3rd-and-1 on two tries later in the first half, lining up in shotgun on fourth down and leaving powerful running back Yasin Willis on the sideline.
