NEW KENT, Va. (WWBT) - Officials in New Kent are assessing the damage after a train derailment involving at least 15 rail cars and 2 locomotives.
The incident occurred between Roxbury Road and South Mountcastle Road.
Authorities said there are no injuries reported at this time.
Meanwhile, some Amtrak services are experiencing delays or cancellations due to the derailment.
The train was carrying coal.
Traffic on Barnett’s Road in Charles City County is being delayed.
