Why Max Scherzer isn't pitching for Blue Jays despite being on World Series roster
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw aren't the only combination with a future Hall of Fame pitcher who doesn't have a front line role in the World Series.
The Toronto Blue Jays have the same thing happening with Max Scherzer.
The main difference is that Kershaw has announced he is retiring after the season. Scherzer has said no such thing, so he may get another chance next year even if he's limited this year.
But it's still quite an odd sight to know that Kershaw and Scherzer are on these rosters and just aren't getting on the mound.
