LANCASTER, N.Y. — The Town of Lancaster celebrated the grand opening of a brand-new turf field at the Walden Ponds Sports Complex, providing a state-of-the-art venue for football, lacrosse, soccer, and other sports.
The event marked a major milestone for local athletics and community investment.

“This is huge,” said Danielle Paradowski of Lancaster Youth Football and Cheer. “As far as youth football goes, this is the only area that youth football has to play. You know, there's many baseball diamonds. There's one football field. Our organization serves over 700 athletes in the Lancaster and Depew community.”
