BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - After reviewing images and video of damage in Grimes County from Saturday morning’s storms along with radar data, the National Weather Service in Houston has confirmed a tornado touched down in Anderson.

The tornado was on the ground for just under 10 minutes, NWS estimates. They created this path from reports of tree and building damage starting from County Road 406 toward FM 2819, including one home with all their windows broken and a french door sucked out of the home.

NWS noted the tornado likely lifted as it was moving toward Richards.

This may not be the only tornado we saw touchdown last night, as the First Alert Weather Team noted several areas of rotation in Grimes County especially as the line of storms moved through the area.
