BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WSFA ) - Alabama State’s relentless offense, an offense that has rolled past nearly every opponent it’s faced this season, made no exception for its longtime rival Alabama A&M in the 84th annual Magic City classic at Legion Field Saturday.
Despite a rocky start, it was all Alabama State as the Hornets pulled ahead to an early lead that they held onto for the entire game to win the Classic for the fourth year in a row.
The Hornets quickly recovered after giving up a fumble that led to a touchdown on the first drive of the game, scoring on five consecutive possessions for a 35-6 lead by the start of the second quarter.
