BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - For 84 years, Alabama State and Alabama A&M have met at Legion Field in Birmingham. Thousands of fans gather to tailgate and cheer on their team. But what really keeps people coming back? The memories made with friends and family.

“I have been coming to Magic City Classic since I was 14 years old,” one fan said.
The historic football rivalry game brings people from across the state together.
“Rooting for Bulldogs and we also have some Alabama State. Our house divided, but it’s okay!”
Whether you’re in Legion Field watching your team and the bands.. “We’re cheering for the Alabama State Hornets!”
Or out tailgating and eating some food, “Ribs, sausages, hot dogs, smoked sausage, everything!”
