GREENSBORO, N.C. — Samaritan’s Purse has launched its 13th humanitarian trip to Israel from Piedmont Triad International Airport, delivering thousands of pounds of aid to families in Gaza , officials said.
The nonprofit’s new Boeing 767 freighter, one of the largest in its fleet, is carrying more than 100,000 pounds of supplies, including 12,000 blankets, 12,000 solar lights and supplementary food. The mission marks the first flight for the organization’s newest plane.
Samaritan’s Purse has been serving the region for two years, providing relief to those affected by ongoing conflict. The nonprofit says it does not receive government funding, relying instead on private donations.
