PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert was issued on Saturday night for a 41-year-old man last seen in Surprise, authorities said.

Abel Perez was last seen on foot earlier Saturday near the neighborhood of Prasada, which is close to Waddell and the Loop 303.

Perez is 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Perez’s whereabouts is asked to call the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older or who suffer from dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
