LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix is one of the many sources of traffic cones in the valley as crews build and dismantle the track.

“Once they start blocking streets and interfering with people’s ability to attend work or an event that really is the toughest part on locals,” Michael Stewart, who lives near the circuit, said.

The team behind the race said they are trying to change that.

“The circuit construction is less time than it has been in previous years,” Lori Nelson-Kraft, Senior Vice President with Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, said.

She said they have learned from the first two years of the race and are working with Clark County, businesses and resorts along the track to figure out how to cut construction time.
