NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The NSU Demons hosted fellow Southland Conference opponents The Lamar Cardinals.

Northwestern State lost their 4th conference game of the season to Lamar 41-14.

NSU briefly led in the second quarter after a one yard rushing touchdown by QB Abram Johnston put the demons up 7-3.

The only other points for the Demons was in the 4th quarter, when Johnston completed a 78 yard pass to Brendan Webb.

NSU had 23 rushing and 284 passing yards compared to Lamar’s 256 rushing and 177 passing yards.

Northwestern State fell to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
